AI CV Screening System

When a company posts a job, they can receive hundreds of CVs in a few days. Reading through all of them takes hours, and it's easy to miss good candidates or make inconsistent decisions when you're tired.

I built a system that reads every CV the moment it arrives in the inbox. It compares the candidate to the job requirements and gives them a score out of 100. Based on that score, the system automatically sends the right email: shortlisted candidates get an invitation, average candidates get added to a waiting list, and those who don't match get a polite rejection, all within minutes of applying.

Project Research

The main problem with manual CV screening isn't just time, it's inconsistency. Two different people reviewing the same CV might make completely different decisions. And when you're reviewing your 80th CV of the day, your judgment isn't the same as it was on the first one.

This system applies the exact same standards to every single CV. It doesn't get tired. It doesn't have a bad day. Every candidate is judged fairly against the same list of requirements. The hiring team can see every result in a simple tracking sheet, so nothing gets lost or forgotten.

Project Results

After this system was set up, screening time dropped by 90%. A pile of 200 CVs that used to take two full working days to review was done in under 4 minutes.

Candidates started receiving responses within 1 hour of applying instead of waiting 3 weeks. The hiring team said the quality of candidates they were actually interviewing improved significantly, because the system was catching good people that manual screening had missed. The whole hiring process became faster, fairer, and much less stressful for everyone involved.
